Lost Places & Forgotten Faces is an urban explorer who has visited a number of derelict and demolished sites across Derbyshire – with his most recent adventure taking him inside a Second World War bomb shelter in Ilkeston.

5. War time production
During the war, the Stanton Works had been one of the main producers of tubular reinforced concrete for air raid shelters. Externally, the shelter forms a linear earthwork about 95 metres long, punctuated by six tubular concrete exit points. Photo: Lost Places & Forgotten Faces
